In honor of Thanksgiving, we want to take a moment to share our gratitude for the amazing women who help us create happy families each and every day. This year, we have matched nearly 200 intended parents with compatible surrogates and egg donors to help them grow their families! We are incredibly thankful to you for walking alongside us in this journey to support intended parents on their unique path to parenthood.
Below several of our team members express their gratitude in their own words.
I am thankful for our egg donors because they are willing to give the ultimate gift to our intended parents. It’s a lengthy, labor intensive and inconvenient process for the donor, but it truly makes dreams come true for intended parents. Our donors have incredibly kind hearts and a genuine desire to help others that they don’t even know in person.
Holly Muzny, Egg Donor EducatorWe are thankful to you for choosing us to help guide you through this process. We are so thankful for not just you but your entire family’s dedication through this process. Your selfless to help create families is so inspiring. We are so thankful for your time, effort, dedication and selflessness through the process.
Barette Best, Brand & Community SpecialistI am so thankful that I get to be a part of these amazing journeys and share in the big and small moments. The pictures of nursery colors, baby onesies, baby showers, and group dinners highlighting that special, one-of-a-kind relationship makes me smile on day-to-day basis and makes me so excited to start my day. I had an IP tell me, ‘We would’ve been friends if we had lived in the same city, and I’m so excited I now get to call my GC family.’ Just amazing!
Whitney Hall, Surrogacy Coordinator
I am in awe of the women who are willing to selflessly give of themselves so that families like mine can be possible. There are no words that can adequately convey the gratitude you feel as parent for the person who helped you create your family. The pure love and joy I get to experience with my daughter on daily basis is because of our donor. Thank you doesn’t seem like enough.
Hillary Redwine, Blog ContributorI am thankful for our donors because I get to see first-hand what a huge impact they have on our intended parents. Even when things can get overwhelming, they are willing to go through what is necessary to ensure that this process goes smoothly. Whether that be through prompt communication, willingness to drop things in their life in a moment’s notice, or expressing their gratitude, it doesn’t go unnoticed. Regularly, I think about the ripple effect – while one drop of water into a large lake may not seem like much, that one drop creates many ripples that extend far beyond its reach. I believe that our donors create a ripple effect, and without them, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do – help create happy families!
Amanda Dimmer, Egg Donor CoordinatorI am honored with the responsibility of helping surrogates and intended parents find their ideal match. A surrogate posted this message recently, and it brings me such joy and is why I am so grateful to get to do what I do: ‘23 weeks. IPs just revealed the gender to their parents over dinner. They asked if I wanted to FaceTime to share in the moment. What an amazing thing to share in! Truly grateful for Lauren McLane Palm nailing this match. This journey is everything I wanted my final journey to be!’
I’m grateful our surrogates trust me to match them with the intended parents I think will be the match and relationship they want. I am grateful they are willing to give up their bodies for sometimes up to two years, to take all the medications, to endure the hormones and to persevere after failed transfers, chemical pregnancies, and miscarriages to try and try again if needed to help make someone else’s dream come true. I am especially grateful for all the women still willing to do this during a pandemic, which has often meant a greater sacrifice of having to do all the appointments and sometimes the delivery alone, without getting to experience the joy of the intended parents sharing in each of the milestones. It has also meant having to make more sacrifices to be diligent in protecting themselves and the baby from getting sick. It’s not the easiest time to be pregnant, much less a surrogate right now, and it truly does take an amazing person to still want to help create a happy family.
